Football and Doctor Who
Football: it was the right result, sorry folks. (Actually this seems to be the consensus among English folks on my f-list.)

Doctor Who - superb! Watching it with three people who are somewhat less Whovian than me, but we all practically cheered at the final scene!

I'd just been having a conversation with my lovely partner about how, despite the previous story lines, we were about due for another appearance of... uhm... *looks around* er, you know. We laughed out loud at the end, though of course, we're also going, "Argh! Two Parter!!"

I was expecting them too, you could hear them in the trailer for the episode at the end of last week's show.

I agree in regards to the football - and I'm disgusted at Rooney's attitude, claiming that when he next sees Ronaldo at Man Utd, he's going to "sort him out for good". Even more disgusting is the fact that countless fans are supporting this attitude. Since when did blatant thuggery become a welcomed thing? Ronaldo is going to have to resign from Man Utd solely for his own safety...absolutely sickening.

In regards to Doctor Who - ooh, it was fab. I was really close to tears at the bit before the credits, and am semi-dreading watching the episode next week because of what I think will happen, although I'm still trying to avoid spoilers as much as I can because I want to be surprised when it all happens :)

great episode, but watching the trailer for next week makes me wonder is there a third invasion as well - as someone (not wishing to do a spoiler) says 'this is our world' and he is not from here.
