Reminder
I will delete this journal later today, in protest at LiveJournal's stupid policies about user icons, which effectively make breast-feeding too obscene to be depicted here. I don't ever intend to use an icon of a baby being breastfed myself, but I think LiveJournal's policy against it is unreasonable and am joining the protest.

I won't be.

The policy is wrong, but as a journalist I need to document just how many people do it, so I can do what I can by writing about it in one of the many places that take my copy - and I can't do that by shutting up shop.

Deleting your journal doesn't stop you reading your f-list - no, not even the f-locked entries (log in as usual, then go to advanced search and search on journals you list as friends, sorted by update). It does, however, stop you commenting non-anonymously.

Funny how, all of a sudden, I'm seeing heaps of breastfeeding icons where there were none before. Well done, LiveJournal...

(I've sent them a note telling them I won't be renewing my paid membership if this carries on.)

While I understand the sentiment and think they are in the wrong, I'm gonna miss your entries... Any idea if you're gonna set up a greatest journal or similar?
