Georgian restaurant in London
Thanks to a locked post on my friends-list, I now know where to eat next time I visit the Great Wen.

(Coincidentally, the nickname "The Great Wen" was coined by William Cobbett, who had a garden more or less where the Gerorgian restaurant is now.)

Somehow I assumed this meant Georgian as inperiod rather than nationality and was hoping there was a restaurant where one ould eat enough food for a small army washed down with a dozen bottles of wine.

That was what I thought too! I have a Medieval cookbook, and I started wondering how Georgian food would be different from that, and from modern cooking...

...and then I saw what you actually meant!

What's Georgian food like anyway? Please let us know if you try this restaurant, as I'll be in London in July and might just check it out, especially if you recommend it.

Checking out the menu, it looks similar to Turkish food, which is fine with me. How similar is it, though?

Mmm. Looks nice. Give me a shout next time you're in town and at a loose end - that's not too far from work!
