Did another debate on France 24 last night, visible here - my Russian and German co-panellists actually succeeded in making the Serbian ambassador look moderate! (My preparation for it was a bit less frantic than last time - I had at least worn a suit to work.)

On a lighter note (and not featuring me), Andorra is not in Africa.

Very interesting to watch, thanks for linking it!

(I'm always interested to hear the voices of people I've only read online or seen pictures of; I certainly didn't picture you with that accent). :)

You have a nice line in introductory eye-brow raises! On a note completely unrelated to either your performance or the situation of Kosovo, I spent much of my time wondering what nationality the presenter was - her accent in English was curiously unplaceable to me...

She's from Chicago, but clearly has a strong background in Spanish.

Very well presented. I was a bit confused by someone sayingv it was wrong for Kosovo to break away from Yugoslavia - my understanding is that Yugoslavia ceased to exist some years back.
And as you pointed out, many 'new' nations of the 20th century - including my own - did not seek the approval of the outside world.
I have a Greel friend in Belgrade who is worried with Serbia withdrawing its ambassadors, and if Greece acknowledges Kosovo her family will los their work and be forced to leave. But I feel this withdrawal will be temporary. My opinion - Serbia will need the EU, the EU does not need Serbia

I think your voice sounds a lot like Liam Neeson's.

The Russian and German co-panelists sounded like they were about to start foaming at the mouth, really. I appreciate that's not a diplomatic statement, but really, they did. Throwing the desecration of churches and the watering of the Kosovar fields with Serb blood out there was really uncalled for, and a complete red herring. In fact, the "churches" argument has been around for ages - if they'd had the concept of terrorism back then, it could be a carbon copy of the anti-Republican foreign sentiment in the Spanish Civil War! And Serbia and by extension the Serbs can't be fairly characterized as sacrificial little lambs, either.

It's like there were three people debating the situation at hand, and two others giving vent to their own demons, and Kosovo itself only came up tangentially for them. Secessionism seems to cast a long, dismal shadow for a great many people. You were right, Mr. Simic did make a calm, reasoned impression, even if he was clearly displeased.

Your accent sounded more transatlantic than I would have thought.
